Wellbore multiphase flow behaviors of gas kick in deep water horizontal drilling

During the deepwater drilling, complicated gas-liquid-solid multiphase flow will occur if formation gas enters and migrates in wellbore. Through understanding of wellbore behaviors is great importance for blowout prevention well control. Considering dynamic mass heat transfer process caused by alternating ambient temperature field, a model multicomponent fluid deduced developed, including continuity equation, momentum conservation equation energy equation. Furthermore, corresponding initial boundary conditions are proposed different working an efficient numerical solution method established, mesh generation discrete partial differential equations. Applied deep-water kicking well, used to analyze rules The results show that annular returning from bottomhole, pressure generally decreases linearly, while change nonlinear. first rises then falls at section, seawater section. pit gain increases approximately quadratic polynomial relationship, rise expansion wellbore, drop influx rate increase bottomhole. In kick evolution, standpipe bottomhole gradually decrease, which can be important sign detection.
